Lucille J. Eppler, age 95, of Oconomowoc, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc.

Lucille Jeanette Vogel was born on August 6, 1918, in Hebron, the daughter of Emil and Sadie (Altwies) Vogel. On April 22, 1939, she married Hilbert Eppler at the Methodist Parsonage in Oconomowoc. Hilbert preceded her in death on December 11, 2006.

Lucille was a member of St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Ixonia. She enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers and St. Johnís Church service Friday nights. She loved visiting with family and friends, playing cards and dominos, and reading.

Lucille is survived by a son, Kenneth (Karin) Eppler; a daughter-in-law, Carol Eppler, both of Oconomowoc; grandchildren, Cheryl Eppler, Phillip (Theresa) Eppler, Lee (Sara) Eppler, Kevin (Erin) Eppler, Kris (Megan) Eppler, Linda (Robert) Semon; greatgrandchildren, Jackie (Kyle) Broom, Ben (Rachel) Judd, Taylor Eppler, Emily Eppler, Jack Eppler, Blake Semon, Maiya Carlson, Gage Eppler, Andrew Eppler and Kash Eppler; great-great-grandchildren, Sadie Broom, Tilly Judd, Emmett Broom and Mark Judd; a sister, Vera Propp; two sisters-in-law, Jean Vogel and Suzanne Vogel; a brother-in-law, Robert Stuart; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is further preceded in death by her parents; son David Eppler; granddaughter Jodi Eppler; brothers Earl Vogel, Ellis Vogel, Harley Vogel and Jay Vogel; sister Hazel Stuart; a sister in infancy, Jean Vogel; and brothers-in-law Alvin Eppler and John Propp.

Funeral services will be held today June 5, at 11 a.m. at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Ixonia with the Rev. Martin Stuebs officiating. Burial will be at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia. Relatives and friends may call at the church today from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. Johnís Lutheran Church or AngelsGrace Hospice.
