Dexter Ray Fletcher

Dexter Ray Fletcher, 72, of Stevens Point, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014, after battling multiple sclerosis for more than 30 years.
Dexter was born in Milwaukee on January 9, 1942. He graduated from West Allis Central.
Dexter was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Dorothy Joann Fletcher (nee Breitlow). They were married on February 18, 1967.
Dexter worked as a maintenance supervisor for Ethan Allen School for Boys until 1984. He enjoyed swimming, being outside, and family time with his children and grandchildren.
Dexter is survived by his daughter DenaMarie Fletcher of the home; son Daniel Fletcher of Stevens Point; three grandchildren, Cody Matthew Fletcher, Dominique Marie Williams and Treyvon Jordan Williams, all of the home; two dogs, Checko and Patches; 22 nieces and nephews; goddaughter, Jennifer Koscica (nee Breitlow); childhood best friend, Leroy Larson; and other family and friends.
Dexter was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; son David Mathew Fletcher; his parents, Archie Eugene Fletcher and Ruth Thema Brand (nee Monzon); two brothers, Archie Fletcher and Donald Fletcher; and a sister, Aline Whitlow (nee Fletcher).
The family of Dexter Fletcher wishes to thank Heartland Hospice, St. Michaels Hospital of Stevens Point, CCCW of Stevens Point and Recovery Health of Waupaca.
A funeral service will be held on June 21, with visitation at 11AM and funeral services at noon at Three Pillars in Dousman. Private interment will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, at a later date.
