Adeline H. Carlsen (nee Frayer),78, ascended to heaven peacefully on March 6, 2014. Adeline was born October 26, 1935, in Waukesha, to Seymour and Helen (nee Parshen) Frayer and spent her lifetime there.

On October 23, 1954, she was united in marriage to David Carlsen.

Adeline was a collector of antiques, raised and released Monarch butterflies, enjoyed gardening and was a self-taught artist, painting many landscapes. She also spent time photographing animals, nature and family. Adeline loved puzzles and would hide the last piece so she could be the one to finish the puzzle.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, David. She was the loving mother of Randy (Julie), Susan Carlsen, Joey Carlsen and Cheri (Scott) Naber. Adeline is also survived by 4 grandchildren Casey (Nicole), Christopher, Matthew and Jacob. She is further survived by one great-grandson, Kameron, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will take place on Monday, March 10, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road, Waukesha, with a service to follow at 7 pm. Adeline will be laid to rest at St. Joseph’s Cemetery Waukesha.
