OCONOMOWOC

Marie Wisser

Marie Wisser, 63, of Oconomowoc, entered eternal life on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. She was diagnosed February 23, 2013, with a cancerous brain tumor. She died peacefully at her home. She was preceded in death by her father, John 'Rudy' Zweifel, and brother Don Zweifel. She is survived by her husband, George, and her daughters, Nicole, Rachel Sever and Stephanie O’Connor. She is also survived by her mother, Olga, and brothers Dick Zweifel and Tom Zweifel.

Marie was foremost a child of our Lord. She graduated from Cornell High School in 1969 and then entered University of Wisconsin- Stout. She met George and later graduated with a degree in early childhood education. She then went on to Eau Claire University to be certified in special education. This training was of great help in her 40 years dealing with George. She spent years teaching and later working side by side with George at their two businesses, Maid Easy and The Kleen it Shoppe. She was a great employee, mother, daughter, child, follower of the Lord and my best friend – we will all miss her very much. Her daughter Nikki posted this on Facebook: “My mom passed away last night from a long battle with a brain tumor. She was in the comfort of her own home and surrounded by her family. She was one of the most selfless people I knew and as caring as they come. She never stopped smiling and always told us that we should love all those around us and have compassion for others no matter what things look like from our outside view. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Thank you so much to all my friends and family who have constantly been checking in on me and supporting me through these tough times.”

Visitation is on Friday, May 16, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 210 Pleasant St., Oconomowoc, WI 53066.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
