Janice P. Borgwardt
Janice P. Borgwardt, 71, of Bonita Springs, Fla., formerly of Wisconsin and the Cayman Islands, died on May 11, 2014.
She received a bachelorís degree from the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Social Work from Columbia University. Jan retired from Family Service of Waukesha after 30 years, as associate director. She also served as clinical director and counselor. She was an enthusiastic member of Voices of Naples and formerly sang in the Cayman National Choir. She was active in many groups in Pelican Landing including the Book Club and Garden Club.
She is survived by her loving husband, partner and best friend for 48 years, John; and her precious dog, Pookie. She also is survived by her sister Jackie Nester of Kentucky, her brother-in-law Curt (Sandy) Borgwardt of Wisconsin, other relatives and many special friends.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, May 22, at 4:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave. North, Naples, Fla.
