Aurora-W-DenneyAurora W. Denney, age 87, of Marshfield, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, November 17, 2014, at the House of the Dove in Marshfield.

Aurora was born October 3, 1927 to Andrew and Ethel (Gustafson) Anderson in Chicago, Illinois.

She graduated from Morgan Park High School.

Aurora and Norman Denney were united in marriage on October 11, 1947, at the Parkwood Baptist Church in Chicago. She was a home maker and had worked for the lunch program at Kettle Moraine High School, Wales, and part time for Figi’s in Marshfield. Aurora was a member of Calvary Bible Church. She enjoyed sewing, traveling and wintering in Texas and Florida. Aurora especially enjoyed volunteering. She taught Sunday school, helped at the Crescent Lake Bible Camp and Rural Bible Crusade.

Aurora is lovingly survived by her daughters, Nancy (Daniel) Schmidt of Waukesha and Janice (David) Cattanach of Lindsey; her six grandchildren; and her seven great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings, Lois Smith of Waunakee, Helen Cummins of Oconomowoc and Wally (Mary) Anderson of Waunakee. She will truly be missed.

Aurora was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Ethel; her husband, Norman; her son, David Denney; two grandsons, Joshua Schmidt and Kinzie Cattanach; and her brother, Wallace.

Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Friday, November 21, at Calvary Bible Church, Marshfield. The Rev Gary Holloway will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM until time of service at the church on Friday. Burial will be held 1:00 PM Monday, November 24, in Orangeville Cemetery, Orangeville, Ill.
