Thomas ‘Tommy’ Froemming

Thomas “Tommy” Froemming, age 71, a Conover resident since 1976 and former resident of Oconomowoc, died on Monday, November 10, 2014, at the Eagle River Memorial Hospital in Eagle River.

Tommy was born in Watertown on April 7, 1943, to Everett and Noreen Froemming. He grew up Oconomowoc and graduated from Oconomowoc High School in 1961. He owned and operated T & M Lanes in Land O’Lakes, WI with his brother Mike. Tommy enjoyed snowmobiling, trap shooting, boating and bicycle riding. He was the vice president of the Frosty Snowmobile Club, he served as president of AAL #7511 through Hope Lutheran Church in Land O’Lakes, a member of the Land O’Lakes Fish and Game Club, and was a former member of the Oconomowoc Jaycees.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Noreen, and sister Sharon Froemming.

He is survived by his daughters, Heather (Timothy) Shock of Elmwood and Amanda (Chris) Coyne of Raleigh, N.C.; brothers, Ronald (Joanne) Froemming of Oconomowoc, Pat (Charlotte) Froemming of Oconomowoc, John “Jack” (Mary Ann) Froemming of Watertown, Peter (Sandy) Froemming of Oconomowoc and Michael Froemming of Land O’Lakes; sisters Sandy Meunier of Oconomowoc, Carol (Jody) of Brenning of Oconomowoc, Jane Coleman of Watertown, Betty (Gary) Blifford of Oconomowoc and Patty (Terry) Winters of Elm Grove; grandchildren, Alyssa, Calvin, Logan and Parker; and other family and many friends.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 15, at the Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.
