Bernice Dorothy Bokelman

Bernice Dorothy Bokelman of Juneau passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at Linden Grove Nursing Home in Waukesha. She was born May 30, 1916 the daughter of William and Anna (nee Liebenthal) Altenburg.
She grew up on the family farm near Juneau. She married Eugene Bokelman in 1947 at St. Johnís Evangelical Lutheran Church in Juneau. For many years she worked for numerous companies until she retired. She was a life time member of St. Johnís Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of St. Johnís Ladies Aid for over 50 years and her faith showed through all the charitable things she did for others. Her Christian life had a big influence on her family and everyone who knew her.
Bernice is survived by her loving daughters Bethel (Robert) Ehlenfeldt of Minnesota and Corene (Kenneth) Ryta of Waukesha and her precious grandchildren Christine (Matthew) Satriano of St. Paul, Minn., Stephanie (Dominic) Warren of Minnesota, Tara (Burt) Boldebuch of Madison and Leisa (John) Breuch of MindoroI. Also surviving are 12 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation is Monday, October 13, from 9 AM to 11 AM at St. Johnís Evangelical Lutheran Church in Juneau. A funeral service will follow at church at 11 AM. The Rev. Paul Hirsch will officiate. Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens.
