Gwenneth ‘Gwen’ Bromley

Gwenneth “Gwen” Bromley of Waukesha passed away peacefully on October 7, 2014, at Linden Grove at the age of 76. Gwen was born on April 8, 1938, in Chamberlain, S.D., the daughter of Ralph and Eva Healy.
She graduated from Waukesha High School in 1956. Gwen met the love of her life, Gordon Bromley, in 1959 and they got married in Dubuque, Iowa, on January 16, 1960. She worked as the executive housekeeper for Olympia Resort for many years. Gwen enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Land O’ Lakes, baking, quilting and gardening, but most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family.
She will be missed by her children, Eric Bromley of Waukesha, Andy (Kay) Bromley of Appleton and Peggy Bromley of Wauwatosa; brother, Michael (Penny) Healy of Waukesha; sister, Colleen (Lee) Alwin of Waukesha; special relatives, Lynne (Jim) Knapp, Eric (Jenny) Knapp, Kelly Flores, Christine Golston, Amy (Matt) White and Sarah (Joe) Faber of Iowa; and other loving relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon; and her son, Edward Bromley.
The visitation for Gwen will be held on Friday, October 10, from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the 12:00 P.M. funeral service at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Tom Griffey will be officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Salem Cemetery in Wales.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Gwen’s name are appreciated to charity of donor’s choice.
