Mary Penelope Crowley passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 10, 2014. Penny was born on September 23, 1945, in Syracuse, N.Y., to Betty and Bob Meagher (formerly of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.).
Growing up in Neptune Beach, Penny graduated from Bishop Kenny High School and went on to Sacred Heart in North Carolina. She later moved to Boston, Mass., where she met and married her husband of 40 years, Jim. After raising their six children in Fort Wayne, Ind., and Oconomowoc, she returned to Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., her favorite place.
Penny was a devoted mother, wife, sister, grandmother and friend. She had an unparalleled creative spirit and nothing was more important to her than her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Clinton Crowley III, and is survived by her six children: Jamie (Donyal) Crowley, Jody (John) Griner, Brendan Crowley, Erin Crowley, Meghan (Chad) Reimer and Patrick Crowley; as well as 12 grandchildren, her sister, four brothers and her many nieces and nephews.
