Janet Ellen AndersonJanet Ellen Anderson, 54, passed away early Monday, October 20, 2014, after a courageous five-year battle with cancer. She was born October 17, 1960, in Waukesha, to John and Mary (Lukas) Boie and graduated from Waukesha South High School in 1978.

She received her BSN from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1982. She worked as an RN in Chicago, Ill., and married James A. Anderson in Barrington, Ill., on March 31, 1990. The Andersons moved to the Spring Lake area in 1996. Janet worked for Mercy Health Partners for 20 years, ending her career as a nursing supervisor in May 2014. Janet was a member of the All Shores Wesleyan Church in Spring Lake. She enjoyed many good friends, shopping, traveling, bike riding and reading, but most of all she loved her family.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; two dearly loved daughters, Taylor and Carly Anderson, both at home; her parents; two brothers, David (Crystal) Boie of Milton and Eric (Jennifer Lisowe) Boie of Rochester, Minn.; two sisters, Amy (Craig) Thompson of Oconomowoc and Brenda (Tadd) Trier of River Hills; two sisters-in-law, Carol Anderson and Sue Goodman, both of Carpentersville, Ill.; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be at the Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, on Friday, October 24, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, and 1 hour prior to the service at church on Saturday, October 25. The funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday at All Shores Wesleyan Church, 15550 Cleveland St., Spring Lake, with the Rev. Peter Yoshonis officiating. Burial will take place at Lake Forest Cemetery in Grand Haven, Mich.
