Lawrence J. ‘Larry’ Montanari

Lawrence J. “Larry” Montanari of Mukwonago was born into eternal life on January 5, 2015, at the age of 78.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rita, of 48 years; loving dad of Michelle (Douglas) Hahn, Robert (Rachel) Montanari and Joanne (Timothy) Mehring; proud “Pappy” of Jaden, Kylie, Cassidy, Elise, Charlotte, Ella and Zach; and loving brother of Bobby Montanari and Rita Heilman. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his twin granddaughters, Scarlet and Audrey; a brother, Paul “Reds” Montanari; and a sister, Jean Perl.
Larry started his young adult life in seminary doing the work of his Lord, and after getting out of the seminary, he continued serving his Lord through his family, work and writings. Larry then went on to work for Waukesha Engine for 30 plus years, retiring in 1998. He was first and foremost a family man as well as a gifted writer and poet.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 10, at 12:00 noon at St. James Catholic Church, 830 County Road NN East, Mukwonago. There will be a visitation at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Larry’s memory.
