HOLTS SUMMIT, MO.

Carol Borgwordt

Carol Borgwordt nee StutzCarol Borgwordt, 85, of Holts Summit, Mo., passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, at Capital Region Medical Center after a long, courageous battle against cancer.

Born in Pewaukee, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Dorothy Stutz. She was married to Russell Borgwordt (“Rusty”), who preceded her in death.

Before Carol moved to Missouri, she and Rusty designed and built their home in Waukesha, where they raised their children. Mom had an amazing zest for life and a remarkable positive attitude. She always found the good in everyone and was willing to help with anything she could, as evidenced by her commitment and energy as was shown through her home, yard and many contributions within the communities she resided in.

Carol was an administrative assistant at Waukesha Rubber, and managed Sunset Bowl during the ’80s. She was involved with the Waukesha Old Car Club with her husband, who was a founder. Mom loved bowling and attending tournaments, traveling nationwide with her team of friends of many years. She started and operated CTS Trucking Service, plus in her spare time started her own cleaning service.

Some of Carol’s enjoyments include bowling, gardening, knitting, reading, playing cards, dancing, entertaining and spending time with friends. Being a huge sports fan, mom never missed watching the games, especially the Green Bay Packers, Brewers and Badgers.

She is survived by her children: Roy Borgwordt, Holts Summit, Mo.; Robin Bluemner (Greg Zajackowski), Brookfield; and Cindy Borgwordt, Holts Summit, as well as grandchildren Ray Borgwordt (Erin), Lotti Bluemner, Randy Bluemner and four great-grandchildren.

Rather than a visitation, Carol preferred family and friends to celebrate her life in their own special way. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
