Catherine A. 'Cathy' MislinkskiCatherine A. “Cathy” Mislinski of Delafield, after a fulfilling life of adventure and exploration, had to battle ovarian cancer for the past 19 months. She fought with a positive attitude and with the inspiration of her loving chocolate Lab, Sagamore, constantly by her side. On Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at the age of 60 years, Cathy reached the end of this journey.

Cathy is survived by her mother, Jean Mislinski; brother, Larry (Carol) Mislinski; loving sister Pat Strasburg; sister Sandy Machado; and loving nieces Angie and Carmen. She is further survived by her constant companion, and motivator to fight, Sagamore. Cathy will also be missed by her incredible, loving friends, Faye Abler and Sarah Remley.

She was preceded in death by her best friend and loving partner, Mary Zosel, and her father, Joseph Mislinski.

Cathy was a psychotherapist for over 30 years, a career she embraced and enjoyed. She loved working with clients, and valued all those she worked with. She impacted the lives of many people and was well-respected in her profession.

A visitation for Cathy will be held from 3:30 p.m. until the time of the 5:00 p.m. memorial service on Saturday, January 24, at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, 2016 Center Road, Waukesha, WI 53189. The Rev. Jay McDivitt will be officiating.

Cathy’s family and friends would like to give a special thank you to her doctors, Janet Turner and William Bradley, for the care and compassion they gave Cathy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed in Cathy’s name to Wisconsin Ovarian Cancer Alliance, 13825 W. National Ave., Suite 103, New Berlin, WI 53151.
