Alice A. Falduto
Jan. 24, 1918 — Jan. 25, 2015
Alice A. Falduto passed away peacefully Sunday, January 25, 2015, one day after celebrating her 97th birthday.
She was born on January 24, 1918, to parents Serafino and Sophia Aceto. For 36 years Alice and her former husband, Anthony J., were the owner/operators of Tony’s 19th T tavern, located across from the Chicago Northwestern commuter train station on State Street in Racine. Offering free daily lunches and Sunday dinners made Tony’s 19th T a very popular place. Following retirement, Alice became an avid traveler, visiting Thailand, North Africa and Europe.
In 2004, Alice moved to Linden Heights Assisted Living Center in Waukesha and became a resident of Linden Grove Nursing Home in 2009. A special thank you to the staff and caregivers of Unit D and the Activity Department of Linden Grove, which became Alice’s second family.
Alice is survived by her much loved son, Anthony (Brenda J.) Falduto, and her devoted daughter, Patricia (the late Richard) Hagemann. She is further survived by her grandchildren Tyler (Belle) Falduto and Tate (Kimmie) Falduto; her great-grandchildren Isabella and Alexander Falduto; and her siblings Virginia Mondale and Robert Aceto.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband; her daughter Pauline Stokes; and her siblings Vincent Aceto, Richard Aceto, Daniel Aceto, Dorothy Miller and Betty Lou Tishuk.
In honoring Alice’s wishes, there will be no services held.
If desired, memorials may be made to Linden Grove “Unit D” and the Activity Department (www.lindengrove.org).
