James E. Paddock

James Paddock, age 86, passed away on February 1, 2015. He was born on December 9, 1928, in Elkhorn, the son of Charles and Mary (nee Lund) Paddock.
Jim graduated from Elkhorn High School and was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. Jim returned home and in 1957 was hired by the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department and worked there for the next 27 years, retiring as a detective in 1984.
Jim is survived by his wife, Estelle Paddock, and by children Pamela (Tom) Mc Gough, Sandra (Tom) Gregware and Gregory Paddock. Jim is also survived by grandchildren Joshua and Jenna Gregware, Megan and Sean Mc Gough and Trenton and Bret Paddock and by great-grandchildren Naviyd and Arriyana. Jim is further survived by sister Jean (Don) Hummel and sister-in-law Evanne Paddock. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by brother Raymond “Ray” Paddock and by his parents, Charles and Mary Paddock.
Visitation for Jim will be held on Saturday, February 7, from 10 AM until 1 PM at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road, Waukesha, with a funeral service at 1 PM. Private burial will take place immediately after the funeral service at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Mukwonago.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Waukesha Sheriff’s Association or to the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County will be appreciated.
