Christopher J. Schuck
Jan. 23, 1968 — Feb. 16, 2015
Christopher J. Schuck, age 47, of Hartland, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 16, 2015.
He was born on January 23, 1968, in Hartford, to William and Frances (nee Durkee) Schuck.
Chris covered thousands of sporting events, as he served as the primary sports beat reporter in the Sussex Sun. He was also a regular contributor to the Oconomowoc Focus, Lake Country Reporter, Mukwonago Chief and Kettle Moraine Index.
While baseball has always been his favorite sport, Chris loved covering soccer. He was the guy at the big soccer match and could usually be found at Uihlein Soccer Park when the state tournament rolled around. The coaches he covered respected his knowledge of the game. Chris wanted to be the best basketball official around. His No. 1 mission was to someday work in the WIAA postseason, and that dream became reality about five years ago. Chris loved sports, playing baseball and writing. He also loved biking and walking whether it was rain or shine.
Chris is survived by his loving mother, Frances Schuck; sister, Angie (Don) Theama of Hartland; his brother, Bill P. Schuck of Hartford; and nieces and nephews, William R. Theama, Donald J. Theama Jr., and Angeline R. Theama. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Chris was preceded in death by his father, William, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
