Bernard ‘Bud’ Stange

Bud Stange of Waukesha passed away peacefully on Friday, February 27, 2015, at the age of 95 years. He was born in Milwaukee, the son of Daniel C. and Emma Stange.

Bud was a proud U.S. Army veteran during WWII and was a part of the VFW post here in Waukesha. He was a member of St. William Catholic Church and St. Vincent de Paul Society. Bud worked as a linotype operator at Independent Typesetting Co. for over 30 years. Most of all, Bud enjoyed spending time with his family.

Bud will be sadly missed by his daughters, Marie Stange of Pewaukee and Pat (Bob) Schmeling of Milwaukee. He is further survived by seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, other family and friends.

Bud was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia “Ginny”; second wife, Bea; son, Michael R. Stange; daughter, Geri L. Stange; sister, Rose Berger; and brother, William Stange.

The visitation for Bud will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 6, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188.

The Rev. Curt Frederick will be officiating. The entombment will take place privately at Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bud’s name to St. Vincent de Paul Society through St. William Catholic Church (see address above) or Masses would be appreciated.

A special thank you to the staff at Linden Heights and Seasons Hospice for the love and care they showed Bud.
