Richard ‘Dick’ Byron Humphrey

Richard “Dick” Byron Humphrey of Pewaukee, a longtime resident of Waukesha, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2015, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family at the age of 85 years. He was born on May 7, 1929, in Pewaukee, the son of Byron and Pearl (Van Brocklin) Humphrey.
Richard proudly served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Dresser Industries (formerly Waukesha Motor Works) for over 47 years. Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing, but was most happy when he could spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Richard will be deeply missed by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy; his children, William (Jean) of Oconomowoc, Tracey (Russell) Olson of Oklahoma, Cheryl (Bruce) Johnson of Waukesha and Kathleen Kuester of Waukesha; his grandchildren, Alan, Matthew, Marcus, Stacey, Daniel, Nicole, Jason, Jaren, Jacob, James, Joshua and Jericklee; 10 great grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends.
The visitation for Richard will be held on Tuesday, March 17, from 4:30 p.m. until the time of the 6:30 p.m. service at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Andy Fetters will officiate. Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Highland Memorial Park, New Berlin.
