Bernard J. “Bernie” Domecki of Pewaukee was born to eternal life Friday, March 20, 2015, at the age of 97 years.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife for of 72 years, Florence.
He was the beloved father of Judy (Robert) Doyle and his son, the Late Bernie Jr.; dear brother of Florence Weber; fond brother-in-law of Marianne Prasser, Isabelle Kaiser and Annette (Edwin) Miller; dear father-in- law of Luci Domecki; and proud grandfather of six grandchildren and great-grandfather of five great-grandchildren. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends.
Bernie and Florence bought a small tavern in Pewaukee in 1941 which they named Bernie’s Tap shortly before he went the serve in the United States Army in Burma during WWII. After his return in 1945, they ran it together side by side for 47 years before selling it in 1988.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 26, at St. Anthony on the Lake, W280-N2101 Prospect Ave. (Highway SS), City of Pewaukee. Father Tony Zimmer will be officiating.
Visitation from 10:00 AM until time of Mass at church. Private entombment will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
