Dorothy May Hogge
June 4, 1914 — April 2, 2015
Dorothy M. Hogge of Waukesha passed away peacefully April 2, 2015, with her loving family at her side at the age of 100 years. She was born on June 4, 1914, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Edwin and Pauline Kraus. Dorothy married Will Hogge on Dec. 17, 1988. She was very active in the Hartland Homemakers, Questers International and the Bicentennial Committee in Hartland. Dorothy was on the school board of the Oaks Indian School and taught Sunday school at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Hartland. Most of all Dorothy loved spending time with her family at parties and any get-together. Her family was planning her next birthday party as “Hugs and Kisses – 101.”
Dorothy will be lovingly missed by her children, Judy (William “Bill”) Wolfe of Big Bend and Ronald “Ron” (Jill) May of Waukesha; grandchildren, Andrea (Joshua) Davenport, Lindsey May, Aaron May, Jennifer (Paul) Rushizkey and Leslie (Christopher) Adams; great-grandchildren, Alana Davenport, Quinn Rushizkey, Layna and Ruby Adams. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Will; brothers, W.C. (Dorothy) Kraus and Edwin Kraus Jr.
The visitation for Dorothy will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the 1:00 p.m. memorial service on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188. A private burial will take place at a later date. Memorials in Dorothy’s name would be appreciated to the Linden Grove Foundation, 13700 W.
