Roger W. Kirk Roger W. Kirk of Scotts, Mich., formerly of Waukesha, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, May 6, 2015, at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Kalamazoo, Mich., on Nov. 11, 1931, and grew up in Galesburg, Mich., the son of Henry and Stella (Clum) Kirk. Roger was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean conflict. For 10 years, he was employed by Crescent Engraving. He was a volunteer firefighter in Galesburg from 1956-1965.

On Dec. 29, 1964, Roger was united in marriage to Patricia A. Noga. In 1965, they moved to Milwaukee, then Waukesha, to work for S & M Rotogravure Service to continue his printing career, until his retirement in 1993.

During his retirement, they traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and then returned to Michigan in 1995, when they moved to Scotts.

He was an avid snow and water skier and loved spending time on Indian Lake.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Patricia Kirk; their three children, Daniel (Lynn) Kirk of Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., Kelly (Michael) Bralick of Waukesha, and Linda (Robert) Flintrop of Vicksburg, Mich; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth, Benjamin and Joseph Kirk, Sarah and Abigail Bralick, and Cole, Katelyn and Brooke Flintrop; brother, Jerry (Patricia) Kirk of Torrington, Wyo.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceding him in death were his parents and two siblings, Darrell and Virginia.

Friends may visit with Rogerís family from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 10, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 W. Battle Creek St., Galesburg, Mich., 269-665-9710.

Inurnment with military honors will be held on Tuesday, May 12, at 10:00 a.m. at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Mich. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or West Michigan Cancer Center.
