Kenneth R. Varsik

Kenneth R. Varsik passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at the age of 78. Ken is the beloved husband of Barbara and loving father of Gretchen (Jerry) Learned and Jennifer Varsik. Ken is the proud grandfather of Greg Jr., Nathan, Jacob and Hannah. He is survived by his brother John and good friend Greg Sr. He is also survived by nephews John Varsik and Alan Varsik (Cathy, children Joe and Sarah), and cousins Kathy Faltynski (Todd) and Tom Tarantino (Maria).
Ken loved to hunt and fish, especially around the area of his cabin on Barber Lake, and visit with his friends in the Winter area.
He served in the U.S. Army, worked at Kearny and Trecker of West Allis and was the Genesee town assessor for several years.
He also worked for Wisconsin Job Service in Milwaukee.
A visitation was held on Saturday, May 16, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Markís Church in Waukesha. The service followed and then the celebration of Kenís life continued at Albaneseís in Waukesha in the afternoon where many memories of Ken were shared.

Kenís ashes will be interred at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial following a military ceremony this summer.
