Elizabeth L. Curren Metz

Elizabeth L. Curren Metz (nee Davis) entered eternal life on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at the age of 95 years. She was a longtime resident of the Waukesha area. She was born January 6, 1920, in Indiana, to Clyde and Hazel (nee Cochran) Davis. She lived and attended school in Milwaukee, including Nursing School at Milwaukee Hospital. She worked at Waukesha Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse from 1954 to 1984. Elizabeth married John Curren on June 19, 1943. John passed away in January 1985. On January 28 ,1987, she married Marvin Metz, who passed away in June 2013. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Anthony on the Lake in City of Pewaukee since 1952.
She was the beloved wife of the late John Curren and Marvin Metz; loving mother of Michael (Sandy) Curren of Waukesha and Stephen (Renee) Curren of Rio Rico, Ariz.; proud grandmother of Angel Curren, Heather (Ray) Miller, Kelly (Jim) Moran and Sean (Michelle) Curren; and proud great-grandmother of Dan Miller, Aidan Miller, Kiera Miller, Hailey Curren and Mason Curren. She will be deeply missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Curren; brothers, Ward (the late Mary Francis) Davis and Wayne (Dorothy) Davis; and her sisters, Jean (the late Irving) Moses, her twin Mary (the late Norbert) Belcher and Connie (the late Jerry) Lutz.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 9, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at Highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 10, at St. Anthony on the Lake Catholic Church, W280N2101 Prospect Ave., City of Pewaukee, at 9:30 AM (please meet at the church). Interment will be at City of Delafield Cemetery.
