Helen Mae McHalskyHelen Mae McHalsky, of Eagle River and formerly Waukesha, passed away peacefully at Rennes Health Rehab in Rhinelander on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at the age of 89. Helen was born on December 31, 1925, in Waukesha, the daughter of William and Lulu Foss. She married Glenn McHalsky on November 16, 1946.

She was a charter member of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church in Waukesha. She worked in the grocery business for many years and worked her way up to head cashier and bookkeeper at Super Valu. Her great love was family and helping others whenever she could. She had a great sense of humor and loved to use it too. She also loved to bake.

Helen will be missed by her husband, Glenn; daughters, Judy Gasser and Lynne Austin (Bob) Hoag; grandchildren, Julie (John) Shea, Jon Gasser (Tracy Whiteaker), Jesica Schwarz, Tim (Sarah) Schwarz; and great-grandchildren, Danielle Gasser and Alix Caucutt. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Mardell (Harvey) Schwarz, Grace (Ray) Kerr, Lois (Denny) Dickfuss and Willis Foss.

The visitation for Helen will be held on Wednesday, June 10, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Helenís name are appreciated to the American Parkinson Disease Association, P.O Box 7513, Madison, WI 53707.
