Kerry Denise Packer

Kerry Denise Packer, formerly Kerry Halvorson (nee Lorimer), entered into eternal life on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, in Waukesha, at the age of 58. She was born Wednesday, August 15, 1956, to the late Alfred and Edna Mae Lorimer in Washington, D.C.
Kerry was a graduate of Brookfield East High School. She worked for 17 years as a driving instructor with most of that time spent in Muskego.
She was the cherished wife of Kenneth Packer of Waukesha; proud mother of Valerie Halvorson of Plymouth and Andrew (Kimberly) Halvorson of Sussex; deeply loved grandmother of Gracie Mae and Chloe Elizabeth; dear sister of Kim (Scott) Rubenzer of Brookfield; step-daughter of Mary Lorimer of Milwaukee; stepmother of Kristin (Chris) Eliszewski of Menomonee Falls, Alison (Martin) Lazcano of Waukesha and Jennifer Packer of Waukesha; step-grandma of Samantha, Skyler, Megan, Gabriel, Seth and Madelyn; daughter-in-law of Beverly Packer of Sarasota, Fla.; and sister-in-law of Douglas (Judy) Packer of Vestal, N.Y. Kerry maintained a special bond with Raymond Halvorson of Cascade. She is further survived by the extended Halvorson family whom she loved dearly, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Kerry’s life will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church, S77-W18426 Janesville Road, Muskego, on Saturday, June 20, at 2 PM. Donations to the church in Kerry’s name would be most appreciated.
