Louise (Humphrey) Schnitzler, age 89, of the Town of Mukwonago, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at her Louise was born on October 21, 1925, the daughter of the late Louis and Stella Yernesek. Louise Yernesek married Raymond Schnitzler on September 8, 1956, at the North Prairie United Methodist Church. Louise worked at Waukesha Memorial Hospital in the purchasing department for 19 years. Following her retirement, she worked as an interpreter for Old World Wisconsin. She was a member of the North Prairie United Methodist Church, where she belonged to The Mary Circle and was a member of the Young at Hearts Club in North Prairie. Louise was an amazing seamstress and will be remembered for always giving of herself to anyone in need.
She was the beloved mother to her daughters, Susie (Tom) Knurr and Kathy (Don) Gray, and sons, Robert, Scott, and Kim (Heidi) Humphrey. She was the dear grandmother of Jennifer (Ron) Koepke, Christopher and Melissa Gray, Timothy (Sandra) and Benjamin (Erica) Knurr, and Michelle (P.J.) O’Brien; cherished great-grandmother of Joshua and Anna Koepke, Owen and Ethan Corey, Brooklyn, Jeremiah, Blake and Savannah Knurr; sister of Gloria Lytle; and sister-inlaw of Edna Voltz. Louise was loved and will be remembered by other relatives and many friends.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond.
A celebration of life for Louise will be held at 7:00PM on Wednesday, June 24, at the Haase Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home, Mealy’s Chapel, 103 W. Eagle St., Eagle. Visitation will from 4:00PM on Wednesday until the time of the service at 7:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will be on Thursday, June 25, at 10:00AM at the North Prairie Cemetery (please meet at the cemetery).
