Robert W. Barkey

Robert W. Barkey, 70, was called to his eternal home on March 21, 2015. He was born in St. Louis, Mo., and graduated from Pattonville High School and the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

He served in the U.S. Air Force with the rank of captain in the OSI — the Office of Special Investigations and Counter Intelligence — in Korea during the Vietnam War. Robert worked in banking for FDIC-RTC, and was an officer at several savings and loan associations and banks.

Bob was the loving husband of Deanna (nee Corn) of Oconomowoc; father of Robert W. Barkey II of Sedalia, Mo., Deborah (Dan) Zweifel of Union, Mo., Jennifer (David) Rasico of Flippin, Ark., and Samantha Barkey of Pittsville; brother of Arthur (Karen) Barkey of New Franklin, Mo., and Arline Binkholder of O’Fallon, Mo.; proud grandfather of 14; and great-grandfather of one. He is further survived by extended family and friends.

Memorial services with full military honors will be held Sunday, July 5, at 1 p.m., at Church of the Nazarene, 609 Sandy Acre Drive, West Bend, WI, 53090. Services also have been held in Boonville, Mo.

Inurnment will be in Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Cemetery, Union Grove.
