Nov. 9, 1973 — July 13, 2015
After a five-year battle with cancer, Erin Elizabeth Lange died on July 13, 2015, in Nashville, Tenn., at the age of 41. Her devotion to her family and firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.
Erin was born on November 9, 1973 in Jackson, Tenn., to Phil and Pat Baker. She has a sister, Lauren, that is eight years her junior. Erin graduated from D.H. Conley High School in 1992 in Greenville, N.C. and was top three in her class. She later attended the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, earning a degree in industrial engineering in 1996 and also serving as president of the Society of Women Engineers. Following graduation, Erin relocated to Milwaukee, and worked for GE Healthcare for 13 years.
For the past six years, Erin has worked for Cielo Talent as an executive vice president.
Erin married J.P. Lange on Sept. 18, 2004. Together, they had twin boys, Gage and Gannon in 2007, and daughter Teagan in 2008. The couple made Delafield their home for nine years, but recently spent the last year living in Gerrards Cross, England. The family enjoys boating on the lake, snow skiing, and while living in the UK, traveling throughout Europe.
Erin was a driven professional who cared greatly for her family, friends, and coworkers.
When diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010, she remained dedicated to both her family and her work while fighting her illness.
She was a brave, strong woman, even throughout her final months. She always thought about others’ needs above her own, even in her sickest moments.
A memorial service will be held for Erin on Thursday, July 23, at 5:00 p.m. at Elmbrook Church in Brookfield. There will be a visitation time before the service at 4 p.m. and a reception with light refreshments to follow the service.
