Thomas K. Schultz
Thomas K. Schultz, 69, of Chanute, Kan., formerly of Oconomowoc, passed away on July 27, 2015, at Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita, Kan.
Thomas was born Sept. 13, 1945, in Milwaukee, the son of Arthur and Sylvia (Machesky) Schultz. He spent two years in the Army and was honorably discharged. Thomas worked for the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department as a lieutenant in corrections for 24 years. He was a patrol officer in Ixonia and Lac La Belle, for several years and in the Fredonia, Kan., jail administration for three years.
Thomas loved to fish, hunt, play cribbage and dart ball, and work on vintage cars. Upon retirement, he enjoyed sitting outside with his dogs and being on his computer.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Teresa Schultz; sons, Jeff (Christin) Schultz and Greg (Melissa) Schultz, and Gary (Abbey) Schultz; grandchildren, Zoey and Holden Schultz, step-grandchildren Bella and Linus Jones; sisters Kay (Ronald) Schmittinger, Judy (Richard) Moczynski, Sandy (Gary) Keuler, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Sylvia; brother, Ronald Schultz, and niece Sheryl Schultz.
Cremation has taken place in Kansas. A memorial luncheon will be held between 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015, at VFW Post 2260, 830 E. Wisconsin Ave., Oconomowoc.
