Helen V. Krueger
Helen V. Krueger of Waukesha passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at the age of 96 years. She was born in Fort Wayne, Ind., the daughter of Clyde and Magdeline Vergon.
Helen was a graduate of North Division High School, Milwaukee in 1936. She loved to sing and was in the original Senior Songsters of Waukesha. Helen was a longtime member of Salem United Methodist Church, Sarah Circle in Waukesha. She was involved in the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union, was a Worthy Matron in the Order of the Eastern Star, and was an active member in many churches over the years — Presbyterian, Methodist, Nazarene, Evangelical and United Methodist. Helen enjoyed playing cards and loved animals. Most of all she loved reading the Bible with family.
Helen will be sadly missed by her children, Richard J. (Mary) Wilson and Beveryl Lee (Michael) Wilson-Smith; stepson, Kevin Krueger; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Steven Wilson; second husband, Norbert Krueger; sisters, Mildred Nack, Hazel B. Selbo, Vivian H. Bade and brother, Theodore F. Vergon; and stepsons Don Krueger and Gary Krueger.
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Salem United Methodist Church, at the corner of East Broadway and Highway 59. The Order of the Eastern Star will have a brief service. Interment will immediately follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield.
