Martha Lillian RetzlaffMartha Lillian Retzlaff, 83, of Oconomowoc, died Monday, August 31, 2015, at Angels Grace Hospice. Martha was born on October 3, 1931, to Paul Herman and Clara Hilda (Wolter) Schuett in Neosho.

On April 15, 1950, she married the love of her life, Edward Albert Retzlaff, in Ashippun. Martha worked for over 40 years for the Pro-Health Care System (at both Waukesha and Oconomowoc hospitals). She was described by the family as a hard working woman who loved her polka music and dancing.

She also made an awesome potato salad that was enjoyed at many a family gathering.

She will be most remembered for her love of shopping and her “family first” mentality.

She loved her kids and her grandkids. Family meant the world to Martha.

Surviving Martha are her husband of 65 years, Edward A.; her children, Edward R.

(Deborah) Retzlaff of Anderson, S.C., Cheryl (James) Zsori of Waukesha, Perry Retzlaff of Oconomowoc and Gayle (Thomas) Wangerin of North Lake; her 10 grandchildren, Bradly, Bryce, Eric, Scott, Myles, Christian, Nathan, TJ, Elizabeth and Kayla; her eight great-grandchildren; her siblings Margret Meyer of Mayville, Marion (Ernie) Maas of Plymouth, Mary (Al) Lentz of Watertown and Mark (Bonnie) Schuett of Pewaukee; and a sister-in-law, Anna Schuett of Mayville. She is further survived by other relatives and many good friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents and her siblings Margie, Marinda, Marcella, Paul Jr., Martin, Marty, Marleander, Marvin and Marlin.

The family would like to thank AngelsGrace Hospice for their loving care and compassion of Martha.

Funeral services for Martha will be 11:00AM Saturday, September 5, at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 800 Lake Drive, Oconomowoc, the with Rev.

Daniel Fahs officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00AM until the time of services at the church. Burial will follow at Ashippun Lutheran Cemetery.
