Therese Marie LaFleur (nee Fenelon)
Therese Marie LaFleur of Wales passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at the age of 50. She was born on February 3, 1965, in Milwaukee, the ninth child and fourth daughter of Richard Joseph and Mary Therese Fenelon.
Therese was married to John LaFleur for more than 25 years. Initially, Therese and John lived in Hartland, where they raised their three children, Jacquelyn, Nathan and Quintin. Therese loved being a mother, and her three children were her pride and joy. When the children grew older, Therese went back to work outside the home. For several years, she worked as an executive assistant.
Because of her love of teaching, Therese eventually returned to school earning a second degree, this time in teaching.
When Therese passed away, she had just begun another year of teaching English at Les Paul Middle School with passion and enthusiasm. In addition to her great love for her family and teaching, Therese enjoyed serving at her parish, St. Charles in Hartland, reading scripture, literature and poetry and gardening.
Therese will be deeply missed by her husband, John; her children, Jacquelyn, Nathan and Quintin; mother, Mary Fenelon; siblings, Michael (Margaret) Fenelon, Patrick (Beverly) Fenelon, Mark (Margaret) Fenelon, Jean Fenelon, Bernard (Barb) Fenelon, Clare (Tom) Dorow, Joseph Fenelon, Anne (Todd) Onderdonk, John (Deb) Fenelon, Andrew (Nena) Fenelon and Peter (Phyllis) Fenelon; mother-inlaw, Elaine LaFleur; and sister-in-law, Linda Janssen. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Therese was preceded in death by her father, Richard, and her father-inlaw, John LaFleur Sr.
The first visitation for Therese will be held on Friday, September 25, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A second visitation will take place on Saturday, September 26, from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St.
Charles Catholic Parish, 313 Circle Dr., Hartland, WI 53029. The Rev. Patrick Burns will be officiating.
The burial will immediately follow the Mass at St. Charles Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Therese’s name are appreciated to Schoenstatt Sisters in Waukesha.
