Gary W. Mueller Gary W. Mueller of New Berlin passed away peacefully at AngelsGrace Hospice surrounded by the love of his family after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at the age of 72 years.

She was the loving husband of Nancy for 47 years; proud father of Stacy (Tony) D’Acquisto, Tina (Craig) Marking and Leah Grant; devoted Papa of Jake Hanert, Haley Marking and Addie and Ava Grant; and dear brother of Claire (Ron) Halamka. Gary will also be loved and missed by other relatives and many friends, including his furry friend Shadow.

She was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Inez Mueller, and sister Phyllis Wagner.

Gary was a graduate of Brookfield Central High School. He earned an associate degree in police science at Waukesha County Technical College. Gary was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired from the Brookfield Police Department after 28 years of dedicated service. He had an incredible work ethic.

Gary loved spending time with his family and friends, traveling, music, laughing, the game of golf, and the Green Bay Packers. He found solace by water and loved the beach.

He was a dedicated husband, supportive dad to his daughters and an amazing papa to his grandchildren.

A man of faith, he walked his faith every day in how he treated and interacted with people. He was modest and truly led by example. He was a great listener who always left those around him feeling a little better after being in his presence.

There will be a time of visiting from 4:00PM to 6:00PM on Thursday, Oct. 22, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. A memorial service will be celebrated at 6:00PM.

In lieu of flowers or other memorials, random acts of kindness are suggested. Simply think of Gary when you choose to pay it forward and know he’d be honored by your graciousness.

Thank you to Dr. Christopher Hake and the oncology team at Pro-Health Care for your support and encouragement throughout his cancer journey. Many thanks as well to the beautiful staff at AngelsGrace Hospice who kept him comfortable with the most respectful care in his final days with us.

Heaven must be even more beautiful now because they have you, Dad.
