GREEN VALLEY, ARIZ.
Phyllis ‘Sue’ Zwicke passed away peacefully on Sept. 28, 2015, in Green Valley, Ariz.
Sue was born in Danville, Ill., on June 30, 1934, to Ernest and Mary Evans. She attended and graduated from Danville High School and went on to Beloit College in Wisconsin.
She met and married Stanley Angell and settled in Delafield, where her children were born. They were Steven, Sandra, Shelly and Stewart Angell, whom she began raising on her own.
Subsequently, Sue met and married William Zwicke, adding five stepsons to the family: Charles, Zachary, Eric, Stuart and Steven Zwicke.
Sue had a wide variety of interests. She played piano while participating in two bell choirs, and did line dancing in Arizona and Wisconsin. She learned tap dancing and performed with the Green Valley Follies as a tap and line dancer. She was an excellent seamstress and an avid quilter. Sue also did some modeling in both Arizona and Wisconsin.
Sue is survived by her husband, William; and three of her children: Sandra (Bruce) Pearson in Wisconsin, Shelly (Michael) Dougherty in South Carolina, and Stewart (Julie) Angell of Santa Fe, N.M.; and all five stepsons as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her son Steven was lost and never recovered somewhere in south Mexico.
Special thanks to the Agave Hospice and to her niece Joyce (William) Bolerjack and nice Glenda (Sam) Depriest. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a future date.
One last thing as I am passing through A part of me remains in you And to share the truth as we pass along, For you and me, we are never gone ...
