Donald Dean Bovre, age 71, passed away after a short battle with brain cancer on Friday, October 30, 2015.
Don was born on April 30, 1944, in Stoughton, to Arnold and Pearl Bovre-Fritz.
After graduating from Belleville High in 1962, he attended University of Wisconsin- Platteville. He later acquired a masterís degree in business from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Upon retirement, he was working as a human resource director for Safeway Steel in Michigan. He was a member of Eidsvollsmen Council of North America. Don enjoyed woodworking in his younger years, and upon retirement spent time golfing, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved his children dearly and they were the center of his life.
Don is survived by his four children, Nikki (Ray) Ragonese, Natalie, Andy (Val) and Tyler (Kristy); grandchildren, Benicio Ragonese, Gavin, Gracie, Mikayla and Zane; and his siblings, Marcus (Sue), Susie (Brad) Schafer and Michael. He is further survived by other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Marcus Bovre Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. today, Tuesday, November 3, at Ryan Funeral Home, 220 Enterprise Drive, Verona. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until the time of service today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Verona Cemetery.
