Leona T. ‘Lee’ Skalitzky

Leona T. ‘Lee’ Skalitzky Lee Skalitzky of Waukesha passed away peacefully on Friday, October 30, 2015, with her loving family at her side at the age of 81 years. She graduated from Mercy High School, Milwaukee. Lee married the love of her life, James “Jim” Skalitzky, on June 22, 1957. She was a registered nurse and worked at the Waukesha County Mental Health Center for 28 years.

Lee loved to go to the casinos and play the slots; she was always a “winner.” She enjoyed playing bridge, bird watching, flowers and was an avid reader. She and Jim would usher at area theaters and she worked at the polls during elections. Getting together with the “Mercy Girls” from high school was something Lee always looked forward to. She enjoyed going to their lake home on Legend Lake and watching her granddaughters in water ski shows throughout Wisconsin.

Lee will be sadly missed by her husband, best friend and lover, Jim, of 58 years; her children, Kathleen Kattner and Mike (Janet) Skalitzky; grandchildren, Christoper and Kevin Kattner, Amanda, Alicia and Alexis Skalitzky; brother, Al (Fran) Grzeskowiak; sister-in-law, Karen Amend; grand-pups Rosco and Marshall; and other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers-in-law Donald (Pat) and Art Skalitzky.

A visitation for Lee will be held on Friday, November 6, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the 5:00 p.m. funeral service at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Burial will be private at a later date.

The family would like to say a special thank you to neighbors Greg and Mark for their help over the years.
