Richard D. ‘Dick’ Miller

Richard Miller, a lifelong resident of Waukesha, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at the age of 69. He was the son of Byron and Ardell Miller.

Dick was a proud United States Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He married Dorothy (nee Csoma) Townsend on February 4, 1989. Dick worked at Cooper Power for 37 years and Foremost Farms before retirement. He was an avid fisherman, and most of all he enjoyed being with his family.

Dick will be sadly missed by his wife, Dorothy, of 26 years; his children, Christine (Dennis) McVeigh, Nicole (Andrew) Pitrowski, Katherine “Kati” Townsend-Godersky and Bradley (Heather) Townsend; and grandchildren, Joe, Noelle, Christopher Pitrowski, Megan Godersky and Elizabeth Townsend. He is further survived by siblings Maxine (Sid) Miller, Nathanial (Georgiann) Miller and Scott Miller, and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents; brother Byron Miller; and sister Darolyn (Jim) Findley.

It was Dick’s request that private services be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to be given to any area dog rescue or the Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS).
