Edward G. Polzin was called home to God on Thursday, October 29, 2015, at the age of 90.
He is survived by his loving wife, Eileen (nee Murphy), of 54 years. He was the loving father of John Polzin and Joan Hall (Jim Thomson); grandfather of Nathan Hall (Raschelle Schmitt) and Dillon Hall; and uncle of Myrtle Dorn. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gustav and Louise Polzin, and siblings Evelyn Otto, Harold Dallman and Myrtle Dallman.
Edward grew up in Lake Country and lived in this area his whole life. At a young age, he was always a very hard worker. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served his country in the Pacific Theater. He was awarded a Purple Heart for his service. Later he would work for the post office as a mail man. He loved sports, especially the Packers and Badgers, hunting, fishing, golf, going to the cabin up north, and spending time with his friends and family.
Visitation and services were held on Monday, November 2, at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 818 W. Wisconsin Ave., Oconomowoc.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the donor’s choice are appreciated.
