Linda Lurvey of Dousman died peacefully at home on November 1, 2015, at the age of 73, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on October 6, 1942, in Waukesha, to Ralph and Genevieve (Sprader) Sumpter.
Linda was a 1961 graduate of Waukesha South High School. After high school, she attended the Marvel School of Beauty Culture in Milwaukee and worked as a beautician for several years. She married Ken Lurvey on August 11, 1962. Ken and Linda later operated the family dairy farm together until retirement.
Linda is survived by her children, Kim Belton, Kari Alonso and Brad (Michelle) Lurvey; beloved grandchildren, Ryan (Jordan) Belton, Rebecca Belton, Gabriella Alonso, Jessica Lurvey and Sergio (AJ) Alonso; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by Kenneth, her husband of 52 years; her parents; and her nephew Andrew Sumpter.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ottawa where she served in many capacities through the years. She enjoyed volunteering at the Kettle Moraine Food Pantry. Linda is remembered by many as a loving, caring servant who was willing to lend a helping hand wherever and whenever it was needed.

Funeral services for Linda were held at the First Presbyterian Church of Ottawa, S37-W35415 Highway D, Dousman, on Wednesday, November 4. Burial took place at Ottawa Cemetery following the service.
