Ginger L. “Gin” Bailey (nee Petersen) was welcomed into the kingdom of heaven on Monday, November 16, 2015, at the age of 57.
She was the beloved wife of Bill Bailey; rockstar mother of Chris Bailey and Amanda Bailey (Will) Whitwell; and proud grandma of Max. She was the dear daughter-in-law of Marshall and Jeanette (nee Puechner) Bailey; loving sister of Greg (Jackie) Petersen, Gary (Alene) Petersen, Gayle (Butch) Berg, Gordy (Michaela) Petersen and the late Glenn (Dottie) Petersen; and sister-in-law of Monica (Bill) Elger, John Bailey and the late Paul Bailey. She is also remembered by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Grace (nee Gagnon) Petersen.
Ginger shared a passion for helping people in her work for Waukesha County Health and Human Services and throughout her life. Part of the way she chose to live.
She also enjoyed landscaping, gardening, crafts and creating a warm, inviting environment for our family.
The family wishes to thank the oncology teams and other departments at Pro-Health Care that provided genuine compassion during difficult times.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (https://donate.lls.org) or United Way, or do a simple act of kindness in her memory.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, November 21, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha, from 4 PM until the memorial service at 6 PM.
