Thomas W. ‘Tom’ Winters
Thomas W. Winters of Dousman passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015, at the age of 85 years. He was born in Ladysmith, the son of Chester and Esther Winters.
Tom married his lifelong love, Donna Joswiak, on September 8, 1951. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy and was a proud United States Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict.
Tom was the president and owner of Moreland Plaza Pharmacy. He was very active in the Waukesha community, serving in many clubs and organizations: Waukesha Masonic Lodge #37, Glen Humphrey Lodge #364, Scottish Rite in the Valley of Milwaukee, Shriner’s International Tripoli, Royal Order of Jesters Part 101, National Sojourners #27, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 55, Waukesha County Shriners Club and past president of The Waukesha Noon Optimist Club.
Tom will be dearly missed by his wife, Donna, of 64 years; children, Kathryn (Tim) Perry, Thomas A. Winters, Amy Coiner and Andrew (Lori) Winters; grandchildren, Rebecca, Matt, Michael, Aaron, Jacob, Lucas, Molly, James and Clifford; and many great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Vern and Leslie; sisters, Lorraine and Ardith.
A visitation for Tom will be held on Saturday, November 28, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the 3:00 p.m. memorial service at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. With full military honors and Masonic services to follow.
