Merlin R. ‘Merl’ Ludeman

Merlin R. ‘Merl’ Ludeman Merlin R. Ludeman of Waukesha passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 85 years. He was born in South Milwaukee, the son of Benjamin and Helen (nee Anderson) Ludeman.

Merl proudly served in the United States Army Signal Corps. He married the love of his life, Peggy Ballas on February 12, 1955. Merl worked most of his career for General Electric as a service representative. After retirement he would enjoy traveling and working in his yard, but most of all he loved being with his family.

Merl will be sadly missed by his wife, Peggy, of 60 years; his daughters, Barbara (Gregg) Sorenson, Beverly (John) Klante, Nancy (Michael) Bykowski and Leslie (David) Bykowski; grandchildren, Erin Siddiqui, Amy Sternard, Ryan Sorenson, Kyle Klante, Kellie Miller, Eric Sorenson, Amanda Snake, Emily Bykowski, Katie Brown and Nathan Sorenson; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Viola Winkler and Donald Ludeman.

A visitation for Merl will be held on Saturday, November 28, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the 6:00 p.m. funeral service at First United Methodist Church, 7520 W. Lapham St., West Allis, WI 53214.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church (see address above) would be appreciated.
