Mary (Monroe) Sullivan, 85, of Dousman, passed away unexpectedly Jan. 2, 2016.
Mary was born Sept. 6, 1930, in Oconomowoc, to Raymond and Marcella (McAleavey) Monroe. Mary married Harold (“Sully”) Sullivan July 22, 1962.
Mary was a devout woman of Christian faith. She could spark a conversation and friendship anywhere and spent her life spreading kindness and positivity to everyone who knew her.
She is survived by children, Kathy (Dave) Pehowski, Tim (Marsha) Sullivan, Ann (Mike) Singer and Mary (Bill) Foster; daughter-in-law, Joanna Sullivan; grandchildren, Steve (Cindi) and Brian Pehowski, Joe (Amber), Andy, and Ben Sullivan, Katy and Grant Singer, Ben, Dan and Peter Foster and Liam Sullivan; great-grandchildren, Logan, Mya, Wyatt and Quinn; siblings, Betty (Bob) Marsh, Tom Monroe, Larry (Sonya) Monroe, the Rev.
Edward Monroe and Bob (Mary Fran) Monroe; sister-in-laws, Carol Monroe and Jean Sullivan; brother-in-law, Gene Cantele; Frank (Angie) Sullivan; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives, as well as countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sully; son, Daniel Sullivan; brothers, the Rev. Clement Monroe, John (Ruth) Monroe, Chas Monroe and Don Monroe; sister and brothersin- law, Joan Monroe, Orv Sullivan, Paul (Bernice) Sullivan, Ken (Shirley) Sullivan, Bill Sullivan, Joyce (Butch) Spanjers and Marion Cantele.
Visitation will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, January 23, at St. Bruno Parish, 226 W. Ottawa Ave., Dousman, immediately followed by an 11 a.m. memorial Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made directly to the charity of donor’s choice.
Mary was a loving wife, encouraging mother and thoughtful grandmother.
She will forever be missed.
