Calvin C. Swisher, 91, of Sebring, Fla., died Wednesday, January 20, 2016. He was a former resident of the Town of Genesee and Bonita Springs, Fla.
He was born March 13, 1924, in Greencastle, Pa., the son of Lewis O. and Carrie L. (née Ketterman) Swisher.
Mr. Swisher was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Wisconsin Centrifugal (MetalTek). In Florida, he was a member of Spring Lake United Methodist Church and worked at Spring Lake Golf Resort in Sebring.
Mr. Swisher is survived by his loving children, Calvin E. (Teri) Swisher of Sebring and Lois L. (Jerry) Frye of Mukwonago; his companion of 14 years, Florence M. Lambert and her five children, Green Bay; brother, Ray Swisher of Fairfield, Pa.; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Lorraine (née Breach) in 1999 and by 14 brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Spring Lake United Methodist Church.
