Raymond ‘Ray’ H. Meidenbauer
May 28, 1927 — Jan. 24, 2016

Raymond “Ray” H. Meidenbauer passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, January 24, 2016, at the age of 88 years.

He was the loving husband of Bernice (nee Kieso) for 64 years; incredibly caring father of Ronald (Jeanne), Russell (Debbie), Randal (Ann) and Roger (Diana); adored grandpa of Craig Dominski, Robert (Becky), Jacob, Kelly, Michael, Bill, Courtney, Claire, Kyle, Konrad, Justin, Kiera and Karl; and proud great-grandpa of Reese. He is also remembered by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Barbara; his brother Harold; and his sister Esther.

Ray proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the occupation of Japan and later during the Korean Conflict. He was a member and former president of the Milwaukee Carpenters’ Union Local 344. He was an active member and council member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Waukesha. Ray was a volunteer at the New Berlin Historical Society and Interfaith Senior Programs.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Linden Grove Waukesha for their exceptional care given to Ray.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 27, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha, from 4 PM until the funeral service at 5:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Interfaith Senior Programs, 210 NW Barstow St., Suite 101, Waukesha, WI 53188, are preferred. Private interment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.
