Debra L. Smail, age 60, found peace Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016. Debra was born in Montgomery, W.Va., on Sept. 7, 1955, to the late Emory and Dot Spaulding.
She lived her life with honesty, compassion, strength, humor, selflessness and trust in God.
Debra was the dedicated mother to Thomas (Tracey) Smail, Teresa (Lucas) Molkentin and Tracy (Brian) Selerski, and awesome grandmother to Dylan, Talor, Keeghan and Sophia. Debra’s children and grandchildren were her world. To them she was affectionately known as “Momo,” “Mamasita” and “My Gamma.” She was the dear sister to Charles (Jane) Spaulding, the late Judith (Dan) Losby, Linda (Mike) Sugden, Donna (Jon) Priebe, the late David Spaulding and Regina Spaulding. She is also survived by her former husband, William Smail; devoted best friend Eunice Nowak; and nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
A memorial gathering for Debra will be Saturday, Feb. 6, from 10AM until the time of memorial services at 12:30PM, all at Thelen Funeral Services, W309-S4840 Commercial Drive, Genesee.
