Oct. 3, 1935 — Feb. 13, 2016
A cherished friend to all, Collette Warell, 80, passed away peacefully February 13, 2016, surrounded by her three children.
Collette was born October 3, 1935, in Detroit, where she also met and then married the love of her life, Raymond M. Warell, on May 18, 1957. He preceded her in death.
Collette was a resident of Oconomowoc for more than 40 years — a community which she loved. She found great pleasure and joy in the many wonderful friends she made and kept over the years. She also supported many local charities and was a former president of the Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts. She was, along with her husband, a founder of the Oconomowoc Area Foundation.
Collette was a kind and caring soul who gave generously of her time and wisdom. Her incredible sense of humor was always present, even in the most difficult situations. She loved to laugh and did so often.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Raymond A. Warell, daughter-in-law Suzanne, and three adored grandchildren, Witnee, Wyatt, and Willow; daughter Amy and son-in-law Jeff Romanelli; and daughter Janine Warell.
Collette also leaves behind her brother Tom Peters, and sisters Judy Stanicki and Lynn Cram, their spouses, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her father and mother, Joseph and Estelle Peters.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 20, from 3 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 5 p.m. at the Schmidt & Bartelt Notbohm-Kreutzmann Funeral Home, 121 S. Cross St., Oconomowoc.
