George Benjamin Anderson, 72, of Sun Prairie, formerly of Waukesha, passed away on February 22, 2016, in Tucson, Ariz. George was born in Milwaukee on July 24, 1943. He is survived by Nancy, his loving wife of 51 years. They were married in Milwaukee on April 4, 1964. George is also survived by his brother, Leonard (Sharron) Anderson of Guernsey, Wyo.; sons Jason (Lorie) Anderson of Wales and Chad (Kristine) Anderson of Eagle; daughter Heather (Nathan) Dotzauer of McFarland; and grandchildren Autumn Anderson, Hannah Edson, Sarah Edson, Amelia Anderson, Chaston Dotzauer and Korben Dotzauer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Margery Anderson.
George’s passion was music. He and Nancy have always been active participants in their church choir and both were longtime members of the Madison Symphony Chorus. He showed his love of Christ by being a contributing member of the churches he belonged to in Wisconsin and Arizona.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 300 Broadway, Sun Prairie, on Saturday, March 12. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
