Lucille V. Sayles
Lucille V. Sayles of Waukesha passed away peacefully on Friday, February 26, 2016, at Waukesha Springs at the age of 95 years. She was born in Johnson Creek, the daughter of John and Clara Freson.
Lucille married the love of her life, Mortimer L. Sayles. She was a longtime member of Waukesha North Congregation of Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Lucille liked to jitterbug and was an avid gardener. She and Mortimer would enjoy traveling from state to state, where she would collect a state thimble. Most of all, she loved being with her family.
Lucille will be sadly missed by her children, LaVerne (Phyllis) Zoellick, Dianne (Steve) Snyder, Ron (Linda) Sayles, Susan Sayles, Jane (Mike) Sporer, Jim Sayles, Shirley (John) Pleva and Mike (Lori) Sayles; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers Jim, Dean, Bob and Jerry; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mortimer; six brothers; and one sister.
A visitation for Lucille will be held on Thursday, March 3, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. Elder Michael Becker will be officiating. The burial will take place privately at Prairie Home Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Heartland Hospice of Milwaukee and Waukesha Springs for the care and compassion they showed to Lucille.
